In the Spring of 1998, a group of cats from the
Lower East Side, in, New York City were brought
together by one common bond- the love of Hip Hop
music, and subsequently formed The Bloody Rain Gang.
The early days consisted of the team appearing at
local clubs and block parties as a means of exposure
In August of 98' B.R.G was the opening act at Thug
Jam 98' out in North Carolina and since then has
been steady cruising down a road of success with a
list of credits that includes: Grind 99' at Hadad's
Park w/ Ja Rule, 1999 4th of July Freak Nik on the
Beach at Lake Gaston w/ the Lost Boyz and Backyard
Band, VSU Homecoming concert w/ Mobb Deep and Go-Go
Fest 2000 at the Richmond Coliseum, NC A&T Go-Go
Xplosion Feb. 2001, to name just a few.
B.R.G decided to expand its horizons so to speak, as
if all the performances around the region wasn't
enough, and decided they wanted to put out a CD in
1999. With that, being recognized as a hot new group
playing and promoting in and around New York and
Richmond mostly(outside of the DC Metropolitan area)
While B.R.G continues to make its mark in Virginia,
where Bloody Rain Gang is a recognized name by most
in Richmond, the aim ultimately is to duplicate
those feats in DC and Maryland and beyond. The
possibilities are endless with hard work and
determination as B.R.G has shown. Rest assured that
as long as the wheels keep turning, Bloody Rain Gang
will continue driving down that path to
success!
